From Goodreads:
Sparks fly between a misunderstood New York socialite and a cynical divorce lawyer in this lively standalone rom-com from the USA Today bestselling author of Blurred Lines and Love Story.
Pampered heiress Georgianna Watkins has a party-girl image to maintain, but all the shopping and clubbing is starting to feel a little bit hollow—and a whole lot lonely. Though Georgie would never admit it, the highlights of her week are the mornings when she comes home at the same time as her uptight, workaholic neighbor is leaving to hit the gym and put in a long day at the office. Teasing him is the most fun Georgie’s had in years—and the fuel for all her naughtiest daydreams.
Celebrity divorce attorney Andrew Mulroney doesn’t have much time for women, especially spoiled tabloid princesses who spend more time on Page Six than at an actual job. Although Georgie’s drop-dead gorgeous, she’s also everything Andrew resents: the type of girl who inherited her penthouse instead of earning it. But after Andrew caps one of their predawn sparring sessions with a surprise kiss—a kiss that’s caught on camera—all of Manhattan is gossiping about whether they’re a real couple. And nobody’s more surprised than Andrew to find that the answer just might be yes.

"Delicious sexual tension."
That was one of the quotes from Walk of Shame but I'm stealing it because it sums up the book perfectly. Because dammit, the sexual tension between Georgie and Andrew was downright delicious.
I very rarely end up loving an adult rom-com novel. For some reason I'm very critical and selective when reading this genre? I have no idea why. It might be because of my romance-loving heart or my Disney upbringing, lol. But whatever the reason, I find it hard to look for rom-com books that I end up loving. Luckily for me, I made the right choice with Lauren Layne's Walk of Shame.
If you can get past all of Georgie's seemingly snob attitude and brand dropping (girl couldn't get past a sentence without telling you exactly what brand of toothpaste she's using. Just kidding. Well, sort of), you'll end up loving and charmed by how kindhearted and honest she is. I honestly love the bubbly, HEA kind of girl vibe she's got going on. The way she riles up Andrew was an absolute delight! It was the source of all the delicious sexual tension I was telling you about. Seeing these two try to deny what they feel for each other was a tad frustrating, yes (JUST MAKE OUT ALREADY) but it was also funny and just.. toe-curling. I love me some sexy, fun banter!
Keeping this review short because I have a terrible headache (and now I remember Georgie and Andy taking care of each other and I'm swooning all over again). If you love steamy, fun rom-coms, this book is not to be missed! Now excuse me, while I go look for more Lauren Layne books to devour!
