A PACK OF BLOOD AND LIES (The Boulder Wolves #1)
by Olivia Wildenstein
Release Date: April 18, 2019; Twig Publishing

From Goodreads:
The primal rule of winning: don’t fall in love with the contender.

Three months shy of her eighteenth birthday, Ness is forced to return to Colorado. Even though it’s been six years, and the wolves of her all-male pack don’t recognize her, she recognizes them. People who shun others because of their gender are hard to forget.

Especially Liam Kolane—son of Heath, the crudest and cruelest Alpha to have ruled the Boulder Pack. Liam is as handsome as he is infuriating, as kind as he is punishing, and he makes Ness’s traitorous heart race, which isn’t good. After all, he’s a Kolane. Like father like son, right?

When Heath dies, Liam vies to become the new Alpha and no one dares challenge him.

Except Ness.

Thus begins a treacherous game.

The rules: winner takes all…including loser’s life.

Fans of Kresley Cole and Cassandra Clare will devour A PACK OF BLOOD AND LIES.

Rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is my very first Olivia Wildenstein book and you bet I'm kicking myself for not reading her books sooner.

A Pack of Blood and Lies was such a delightful read! I love Ness' mindful recklessness and the simmering attraction with Liam. The writing was very addictive. And although there really wasn't much when it came to the action aspect of the book, I was never bored. I've read tons of werewolf books but this one has to be one of my top favorites. There was just something about it that really captured my interest- might be the romance, might be hot, sexy Liam, might be Ness' fiery personality, might be the secrets, deceit and mysteries shrouding the story.. the list goes on and on. But whatever it was, I honestly don't care because I LOVE the book so much. Flew thru this in one sitting and the sleepless night was so worth it!

Now excuse me while go find another Olivia Wildenstein book to devour.

I received an e-arc via Netgalley to read and review.
