The one woman he will never forget…
Malcolm Bevingstoke, Duke of Haven, has lived the last three years in self-imposed solitude, paying the price for a mistake he can never reverse and a love he lost forever. The dukedom does not wait, however, and Haven requires an heir, which means he must find himself a wife by summer’s end. There is only one problem—he already has one.
The one man she will never forgive…
After years in exile, Seraphina, Duchess of Haven, returns to London with a single goal—to reclaim the life she left and find happiness, unencumbered by the man who broke her heart. Haven offers her a deal; Sera can have her freedom, just as soon as she finds her replacement…which requires her to spend the summer in close quarters with the husband she does not want, but somehow cannot resist
The duke has a single summer to woo his wife and convince her that, despite their broken past, he can give her forever, making every day The Day of the Duchess.

My very first Sarah MacLean book and I can't say I am not thoroughly pleased. I will forever remember that moment when I discovered her books and just knew with absolute certainty that I would love them. Starting with this one.
The Day of the Duchess has all the perfect making of an unputdownable historical romance. My swoon loving heart was bursting with so much delight and love! Sera was an amazing heroine and I love her strength, her resilience and her kind, gentle heart. The chemistry between her and Malcolm was Way. Off. The. Charts. Although let's face it, this book would have been a lot shorter if they just took the time to talk to each other honestly, no holds barred. But seeing them come together again was so utterly blissful I honestly don't care if it took longer. My heart was bursting from too much swooning! Malcom and Sera falling in love all over again was just.. it's.. I HAVE NO WORDS.
But I have to say the Dangerous Daughters is the absolute highlight of my reading experience. I love their bond and their steadfast loyalty to each other. I have sisters of my own so I understand how different and special the bond is with sisters. They're the other half of who you are. No one would grate on your nerves more but similarly, no one would love you like they do.
I'm keeping this short because I'm on the prowl for another Sarah MacLean book to read. Which book should I read next, do you think?
