If you're looking for a sexy, suspenseful, romantic and thrilling story THE AUSTRALIAN is perfect for you. I had the opportunity to read The Frenchman a while back and now I cannot seem to stop reading books by Lesley Young. I love her writing style. It's flawless and engaging and she definitely knows how to write steamy, swoony scenes.
Charlie is not your typical heroine. She's a bit awkward but really funny. She takes everything at face value which I think makes her seem kind of innocent and really adorable. (I don't know why but she kinda reminds me of Sheldon Cooper. Does anyone else feel this way?) I love her interactions with Jace. She's crazy smart and was always very logical and that just makes everything seem funnier somehow. And Jace. Jace is every girl's dream and every parents' nightmare. He's brooding, wickedly sexy and knows just how to push Charlie's buttons. What can I say? They're perfect for each other!
I fell in love with Lesley Young's twisty story, world and characters the first time in The Frenchman and now I fall in love the second time around. There was plenty of action, intrigue and sexy times that would keep you reading. I don't usually read books in this genre but if there's Lesley Young written on it, I won't have to think twice.
Due to strong language and sexual content, I recommend this to mature readers only.
